In this course, as enrolled nurses, you will be equipped with the required knowledge and skills to perform dressing for non-complicated chronic wounds.
Course duration: 14 hours
What you'll learn
Review anatomy of the skin.
Review the physiology of wound healing.
Recap the stages of wound healing.
Review principles of wound dressing.
Define non-complicated chronic wounds.
Explain types of non-complicated chronic wounds.
List the various types of wound care products.
Perform wound dressing for non-complicated chronic wounds (packing and irrigation)
Report and record.
Conduct a basic health education.
Entry requirements
Participants must be an Enrolled Nurse with a valid practising certificate with the Singapore Nursing Board.
