Take the first step towards becoming confident in using digital tools and apps in your daily life.
Course duration: 7 hours
This course is in support of the Digital Skills for Life programme and Digital for Life movement by IMDA (www.digitalforlife.gov.sg).
This beginner course is designed for those with little or no experience. You'll learn the basics of using digital devices, finding information, staying connected, and keeping yourself safe online.
What you'll learn
Setting Up and Maintaining Devices
Use hardware like phones or tablets
Personalise software settings
Download apps on your mobile devices
Connect to internet via Wi-Fi or mobile data
Finding and Storing Information:
Search the web for information
Save, find, and delete files
Staying Connected
Create a contact list on your device
Learn how to use communication apps like WhatsApp and social media
Making Digital Transactions:
Understand apps for health, learning, transport, banking and shopping
Use features of popular transactional apps
Be Safe Be Smart Be Kind:
Stay safe with strong passwords and 2FA:
Avoid scams and harmful online content
Manage screen time and limit distractions
Practise good manners and respect online

Fee for this course can be paid using SkillsFuture Credits.
