This course provides foundational training in the principles of nutritious cooking and efficient meal preparation.
You will learn systematic strategies for creating healthy, time-saving meals, including protein portioning, crafting nutrient-dense sauces from whole foods, and implementing smart storage solutions. The course also covers healthier ingredient substitutions and sustainable habits to make meal cooking more enjoyable. This practical training equips you with core competencies for supportive roles in food preparation, wellness, and dietary sectors.

What you'll learn
Marinate Meat: Beef/Chicken
Marinate minced beef/chicken.
Shape meat into patties, kebabs, meatballs, and dumplings.
Marinate chicken breast and demonstrate safe storage for marinated meats to be cooked throughout the week.
Cook marinated beef/chicken.
Healthy Sauces
Create hummus-based sauces.
Use boiled eggs as a mayonnaise replacement.
Prepare yoghurt-based sauces.
Make vegetable-based pasta sauce.
Preparation of Vegetables
Learn cutting and blanching techniques for hardy vegetables.
Wash and store salad (demonstration).
Prepare sweet potato mash and quinoa.
Hands-On Creation
Make your own wrap or tortilla and create a salad or rice bowl using the prepared ingredients.
Target Audience
This course is relevant for job roles in the food service, wellness, and healthcare sectors that require foundational knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and efficient preparation techniques.
