What you'll learn

  • Handle guest room reservations.

  • Handle guest arrival and departure.

  • Provide guests services.

  • Perform housekeeping services.

  • Check cleanliness and set up of dining areas.

  • Perform hosting functions.

  • Take and serve food and beverage orders.

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage.

  • Prepare coffee beverages

Entry requirements

3 GCE ‘O’ Level Grades:

  • Grade 1-7 in English Language;

  • Grade 1-7 in two other subjects

Applicants must have sat for Mathematics (Elementary/Additional).

OR

  • Nitec in Services qualifications; or

  • Nitec qualifications (Business/Services Skills); or

  • Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing and Numeracy, and one year relevant work experience; or

  • Completed four Foundation modules.

Applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements will need to complete Foundation modules before taking Core/Specialisation modules.

Entry requirements for Foundation modules

  • 2 GCE 'O' Level Grades (Grade 1-8) in any two subjects; or

  • 3 GCE 'N' Level Passes (Grade A-D or Grade 1-5) in English and two other subjects; or

  • Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking and Listening, and Level 4 in Reading and Numeracy.
