Set up wired and wireless networks to accommodate IP-ready security systems.
Set up backend security network infrastructure to support security systems.
Troubleshoot and maintain security systems.
Design and implement security system solutions to meet client’s requirements.
Manage security system installation projects.
Integrate and implement centralised security management system.

Entry requirements
3 GCE ‘O’ Level Grades:
Grade 1-8 in English Language;
Grade 1-7 in Mathematics (Elementary/Additional);
Grade 1-8 in one of the approved subjects: Biology / Biotechnology / Chemistry / Combined Science / Computer Studies / Design & Technology / Engineering Science / Fundamentals of Electronics / Human & Social Biology / Integrated Science / Physical Science / Physics / Science (Chemistry/Biology) / Science (Physics/Biology) / Science (Physics/Chemistry) / Science (Physics/Biology/Chemistry).
OR
Nitec in Technology qualifications; or
Nitec qualifications (Technical Skills); or
Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing and Numeracy, and one year relevant work experience; or
Completed four Foundation modules.
Applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements will need to complete Foundation modules before taking Core/Specialisation modules.
Entry requirements for Foundation modules
Completed GCE 'O' Level; or
Completed GCE 'N' Level; or
Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking and Listening, and Level 4 in Reading and Numeracy.
Note:
Applicants applying for this course must be free from colour appreciation deficiency. A score of 100% from the Colour Blindness Test taken here is mandatory for course admission.

Higher Nitec in Security System Integration graduates are employed by systems integrators, security solution providers and end users of security systems including government agencies.
