What you'll learn

Certification
Course participants are required to attend the course and pass both theory & practical components to receive the Joint ITE-NEA Certificate in Pest Control.
Entry requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Singapore Citizens / Singapore Permanent Residents or Foreigners with a valid and relevant work permit issued by Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to work in Singapore; AND
Have Provisional Vector Control Worker (VCW) licence; OR
Completed Primary School Education; OR
Attained Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3 in Reading, Listening and Numeracy
If you are paying using your SkillsFuture Credit (SFC), do note that the “One-Off SkillsFuture Credit Top-Up” will expire on 31 December 2025. This credit can be used only for courses starting on or before 31 December 2025.
The “One-Off SkillsFuture Credit Top-Up” is a one-off SFC top-up of $500 given by the government in 2020, for all eligible Singaporeans aged 25 or above.

Training schedule
General information
This is a blended learning course which includes 49 hours of classroom training and 8 hours of Self-Directed Learning (SDL). You need to complete and pass 2 Practical Assignments and 1 Theory Exam to receive the certificate.
On completion, course applicant will be able to practice work safety and good housekeeping, learn about pests and vectors, understand the morphology, medical importance, biology, surveillance and control of mosquitoes, flies, rodents, cockroaches, fleas and other pests, handle use of pesticides (Insecticides and Rodenticides) & operate and maintain pest control equipment.
Duration:
Lessons are mostly conducted on Mondays and Tuesdays
6.45 pm - 9.45 pm (subject to adjustment)
The detailed training and assessment schedule will be shared with course participants on the first lesson
