Step into the future with Mechatronics & Robotics! Master mechanical, electrical, and microcomputer systems to operate, maintain, and service automated industrial equipment—plus CAD design and fault repair for a high-demand, hands-on career.
Course duration: 18 months
The course duration is 1.5 years to 3 years.
This course is being phased out and is offered to ongoing students only.
What you'll learn
Install, maintain and service pneumatic and electro-pneumatic controlled systems
Construct and assemble mechanical support
Prepare and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
Install and test electrical systems
Install and test peripheral devices and microcomputer controlled systems
Troubleshoot electronics systems
Set up industrial automation systems, modify PLC program and troubleshoot a simple automated production system at module level

Entry requirements
Completed GCE 'O' Level; or
Completed GCE 'N' Level; or
Passed ISC in Autonomous Maintenance; or
Passed ISC in Electrical Servicing; or
Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking and Listening, and Level 4 in Reading and Numeracy.
Note:
Applicant applying for this course must be free from colour appreciation deficiency. A score of 100% from the Colour Blindness Test taken here is mandatory for course admission.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission if they have a letter of sponsorship or employer’s recommendation. Applicants may have to go through an interview.
