Successful projects require careful planning, effective stakeholder communication and the ability to balance project scope, schedule and cost. This practical course introduces the fundamentals of project management while demonstrating how Generative AI can improve project planning and execution.
Participants will learn key project management concepts, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), scheduling, cost estimation, budgeting and resource management. Through facilitated discussions, hands-on exercises and real-world scenarios, you will develop the skills to plan projects, manage stakeholder expectations, monitor project performance and close projects effectively.
The course also demonstrates how Generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT and NotebookLM, can support project planning, communication and decision-making. By the end of the course, participants will be able to develop and present a well-structured project plan using Generative AI to enhance project management practices.

What you'll learn
Introduction to Project Management
Understand the role of a project manager, the project life cycle and the key stages of the project management process.
Scope Management
Learn how to define project scope, initiate projects, develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and justify project objectives. Explore how Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT can support scope planning.
Time Management
Learn how to define and sequence project activities, create activity network diagrams and apply the Critical Path Method (CPM) to develop realistic project schedules. Discover how Generative AI can assist with project scheduling and planning.
Cost Management
Develop skills in cost estimation, budgeting and cost control to manage project finances effectively. Learn how Generative AI can support cost planning and analysis.
Stakeholder Communication with Generative AI
Learn how to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and explore how Generative AI tools such as NotebookLM can support project communication, documentation and collaboration.
Target Audience
This course is suitable for operations managers, team leaders, technical leads, project leaders, project managers and project directors who wish to strengthen their project management skills and deliver projects successfully within scope, schedule and budget.
Entry requirements
Participants are required to bring their own laptop to participate in the hands-on project management and Generative AI activities.
