Ever wanted to automate your home with smart devices? This beginner course will teach you how to connect and control IoT devices using free apps. You’ll learn how to set up a smart home or office with voice commands and automation tools, making your life easier and more connected.
What you'll learn
Learn what the Internet of Things (IoT) is and how it works
Create an account to control smart plugs and share control with others
Set up communication between your smart devices
Learn how to use Google Assistant to control devices with your voice
Use "If This Then That" (IFTTT) to automate device actions
Set up alerts and notifications via SMS, email, and VoIP
Integrate your IoT devices to build a fully connected smart home
Entry requirements
Participants must have a smart phone.
