Learn about the different parts of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and what they do. Understand the principles of how a PLC works and learn how to write simple programmes for a PLC. 

Course duration: 24 hours

What you'll learn

  • Learn about the terms, ideas and system setups of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

  • Understand the steps to programme a PLC

  • Learn to programme a PLC to do the job of electrical and mechanical switching

  • Learn to programme a PLC to control solenoids in air circuits

  • Learn to programme a PLC using functions for timers, counters and data shifting

  • Learn to programme a PLC to carry out simple instructions
