Prerequisite

• Work well with others in a team environment

• Able to use computational models, tools and techniques to develop different solutions, solve problems and guide decision-making

• Able to articulate and discuss ideas, thoughts and information effectively to achieve common outcomes

Job role

A Data Engineer develops, implements and maintains data flow channels and data processing systems, to derive insights for business needs. The work he/she performs includes the following:

• Manage datasets

• Manage database systems

• Manage end-to-end data pipelines

• Develop data solutions

Training pattern

Block Release - Trainees attend daily lessons at ITE for a continuous period and then resume the next block of OJT at the workplace.

Entry requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

1. ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;

   • Nitec with GPA ≥ 2:

     • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

   • Higher Nitec

     • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

OR

2. In-service employees⁺ with:

   • Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above

   • Relevant work experience

   • Strong employer endorsement

⁺In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview

Work-Study Diploma in AI & Data Intelligence graduates are employed by companies and organisations in the ICT, data and AI solutions sector.
