Course duration: 30 months
This diploma course equips with the skills, knowledge and professional attributes to plan, develop and coordinate the provision of community services to the public to serve the community through social engagement and bonding towards building a caring and inclusive society
Prerequisite
Self-driven and resourceful team player who enjoys interactions with people from all walks of life, and exhibits initiative in facilitating community outreach programmes. Possess excellent organisation and administration skills in managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
Job role
A Programme Executive in a community service organisation is one who serves the community and provides customer service, manages volunteers and stakeholders and develops and provides community service programmes. The Programme Executive also plans and conducts outreach to the public to engage, bond and build a caring and inclusive society.
Work-Study Training pattern
Day Release - One day of classroom lessons per week at ITE, with the remaining work-week spent at the workplace for On-the-Job Training.

Entry requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:
ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;
Nitec with GPA ≥ 2:
All courses from School of Business & Services
Community Care & Social Services
Hospitality Operations
Higher Nitec:
All courses from School of Business & Services
Hospitality Operations
OR
In-service employees+ with:
Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above
Relevant work experience
Strong employer endorsement
+In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview
Career opportunities
Work-Study Diploma in Community Engagement & Development graduates are employed by government agencies, statutory boards and private organisations in the social service sector. Some job titles held are Community Engagement Assistant and Community Engagement Executive. Career advancement prospect will improve when graduates acquire experience and upgrade their skills and knowledge.
