Prerequisite
An Assistant Equipment Engineer plays a key role in sharing important information with teammates during daily production meetings. This person is skilled at solving problems and improving how machines work. By working well with others and taking responsibility, they help create a positive and productive workplace. In this role, you may work in a clean room, where precision and care are crucial. You will learn to analyse and optimise equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Job role
An Assistant Equipment Engineer uses engineering skills to help improve equipment and processes in a manufacturing setting. This role involves solving maintenance problems and ensuring that everything runs smoothly to meet company goals.
The work he/she performs includes the following:
Administer equipment engineering
Manage equipment capability
Conform to management system requirements
Contribute to continuous improvements
Support maintenance process and manufacturing issues
Training pattern
Day Release - Trainees attend lessons at ITE for two day per a week and spend the remainder of the work-week at the workplace for OJT.

What you'll learn
Administer equipment engineering
Manage equipment maintenance to ensure performance efficiency
Maintain management system requirements

Entry requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:
ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;
Nitec with GPA ≥ 2:
All courses from School of Engineering
All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology
Higher Nitec:
All courses from School of Engineering
All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology
OR
In-service employees+ with:
Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above
Relevant work experience
Strong employer endorsement
+In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview
Note:
Applicants applying for this course must be free from colour appreciation deficiency. A score of 100% from the Colour Blindness Test taken here is mandatory for course admission.
