This diploma course prepares you for a professional career in the Sea Transport sector.

You will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform and supervise maintenance and repair of various port container handling automated systems and equipment, such as network systems, and automated cranes and vehicles, in accordance with planned schedule, quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures and Workplace Safety & Health guidelines.

Entry Requirements

  1. In-service employee of PSA Corporation Limited holding the positions of Technical Specialist or Senior Technical Specialist, and have a minimum of one year’s work experience.
  2. The relevant Nitec / Higher Nitec courses for this Diploma are:

  3. Applicants must be free from colour appreciation deficiency.
  4. Male graduates must have completed or be exempted from full-time National Service.
Applicants with any Nitec / Higher Nitec qualifications, relevant work experience and support from their employers that are participants of the WSDip programme can also apply. Non-ITE graduates with relevant experience and strong employer endorsement will also be considered. Non-ITE graduates without GCE ‘O’ Level qualification should preferably have Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5.

Progression Opportunities

Graduates may be considered for admission to related full-time degree programmes in local universities, subject to meeting the admission requirements of the respective programmes.

Career Opportunities

On completion of this diploma programme, graduates can take up jobs as Assistant Service Engineers.
