Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship to Encourage Upgrading (LKY-STEP)
The LKY-STEP Scholarship was created in 2001 with funds from the sales of the late Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew’s autographed memoirs. This scholarship aims to inspire ITE students to perform exceptionally well in their training. It also encourages students to embrace life-long learning as a valuable journey.
Tay Eng Soon Scholarship (TESS)
The TESS Fund was set up in 1993, with contributions from companies, individuals, and staff from ITE and various Polytechnics. It honours the memory of Dr. Tay Eng Soon, who was Minister for Polytechnics and Technical Education, and a former Chairman of ITE. This fund supports students by recognising their hard work and dedication in their educational pursuits.
Who’s eligible?
ITE graduates who are currently pursuing a full-time Polytechnic Diploma, ITE Technical Diploma and are Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.


Requirements
Achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above for their highest level ITE qualification courses;
achieved good records of active participation in co-curricular activities (CCA); and
is not financially sponsored by an employer
