Keynote Speaker: Mr Lim Tuang Liang

Keynote Speaker

Mr Lim Tuang Liang is the Government Chief Sustainability Officer (GCSO) and Deputy Secretary (Special Duties) at the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment. He leads and coordinates whole-of-government efforts to advance a sustainable, resource-efficient, and climate‑resilient Singapore.

This includes overseeing efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of the Singapore Government, upskill sustainability competencies amongst public sector officers, as well as enable communities across Singapore to undertake sustainability projects.

Mr Lim also serves as a member of the A*STAR Board and the External Advisory Panel on Environmental Sustainability at MINDEF.

Guest Speaker: Mr Edward Chia

Describe what the image is about.

Mr Edward Chia is an impact entrepreneur, sustainability advocate, and Member of Parliament for Holland–Bukit Timah GRC, with over 20 years of leadership experience across the circular economy, placemaking, F&B, and the arts. He is the Founder of Life Lab Resources, a sustainability venture upcycling food waste into aquaculture feed and enabling circular supply chains for farmers. His work focuses on advancing circular economy practices, reducing carbon emissions, and creating a scalable impact.

He has served on national boards and committees spanning the arts, entrepreneurship, education, and youth development, and remains a strong advocate for sustainability, community building, and youth empowerment. He also co-chaired national initiatives such as the SG Youth Action Plan and an NEA workgroup focused on sustaining the hawker trade.

Guest Speaker: Ms Melissa Low

Describe what the image is about.

Ms Melissa Low is a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Centre for Nature‑based Climate Solutions and Head of the Sustainability Academy under NUS’s Sustainable Futures initiative. She spearheaded sustainability‑focused continuing education and training programmes, and carried out multiple research projects on energy, climate, and environmental policy. She has participated in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP) for over a decade.

She has received national recognition for her contributions to sustainability and youth engagement, and serves on multiple advisory, editorial, and education committees. This includes serving as Chair of the Climate Action SG Alliance and Advisor to the #GreenHacks Youth Panel.
