Frequently Asked Questions

There is no need to raise a PO or do GeBiz Evaluation for ApLM@ITE. Schools can register directly through the application link (https://for.edu.sg/iteaplm), on a first-come-first-served basis and seek the Principal’s approval for the courses. ITE will then require a formal confirmation from the school through an email, copied to the Principal, indicating that approval has been sought. After the students’ completion of the module, ITE will bill the school.

Schools that are unable to meet the minimum number of participants required for their preferred run have the option of partnering another school (outcome subject to allocation process/successful match).

• Prior to finalising the rank-and-allocation submission, ApLM coordinators should seek their School Leaders’ approval of the final ranked shortlist, and ensure that the school is able to commit to the number of participants declared by the school

• Select ‘Seek Partner School’ when shortlisting the school’s preferred run

• Indicate the number of participants the school is committing to for the partnership with another school. Schools should commit to this number of participants if the partnership is successful.

• Verify the details and click ‘Submit’ to complete the shortlisting of the run

No, after shortlisting the desired runs, select ‘Submit Runs for Rank-and-Allocation’ from the ‘My Action’ menu item.

• Choose the number of ApLM@ITE that the school would like to submit their preferences for respectively

• Indicate your ranking of the ApLM@ITE runs respectively. You may choose to leave the ‘choice’ dropdown as ‘Please select’ if you no longer wish to submit this run for the rank-and-allocation process. Alternatively, you may return to the run’s page to remove this run from the shortlist.

• Review the declarations at the bottom of the page and ‘Check’ the checkboxes for each of the declarations and click on ‘Submit for Rank-and-Allocation’.

At the end of the stipulated week, runs will be allocated to schools based on the school’s ranking of preferred runs, the number of runs sought by the school, and the availability and demand for runs.

• If there is a need to break a tie between two or more schools for a particular run, the run will be randomly allocated to one of the schools by the system. Hence, there may be cases where schools are not allocated the total number of runs sought by them, or their preferred runs.

• After registration, schools have 7 days for approval to be given by the Principal. School coordinators need to Accept/Reject the allocated runs, and ensure that the Principal Approve/Reject the allocated runs before the corresponding deadline.

• Runs that are still available after the rank-and-allocation process each semester will be available for registration on a first-come-first-serve basis in the open market.

The school principal can reject the allocated runs within 7 days in the ApLM portal.

During the open market period, schools that are unable to meet the minimum number of participants required for their preferred run have the option of:

1. Reserving a preferred run (while waiting for another school to join the partnership)

2. Partnering another school which currently holds a reserved run

The total number of participants enrolled by both schools should be within the minimum and maximum number of participants for the run.

The school ApLM coordinator must submit the enrolment number (number of participants) at least 21 days before start date of the run.

If there are changes to the enrolment lists submitted to ITE due to unforeseen circumstances such as student transfers from/to other schools, medical reasons, please inform ITE at least 7 days before start date of the run so that necessary arrangements could be made and ITE trainers can be updated of the changes before course commencement.

Schools are to ensure that there is a minimum of 20 participants for the ApLM@ITE classes after the changes. No swapping of students among the classes registered is allowed upon class commencement.

Schools should inform ITE at least 7 days before start date of the run and provide details of the affected students and date and time to be excused so that ITE trainers can be updated and are able to advise whether this would affect the students’ attendance and in-course assessments.

Affected students could also remind ITE trainers on the first day of the course so that alternative arrangements for in-course assessment can be made if required.

Cancellation of runs should only be done prior to the cancellation deadline (6 weeks before start of the run). As ITE has spent time and resources to plan and prepare for the ApLM runs, schools should not cancel runs after the deadline unless there are unforeseen circumstances.

Schools are advised not to sign up for ApLM@ITE if the course dates coincide with school events or examinations of the relevant classes as this would affect the attendance of the ApLM@ITE. There will be no make-up lessons for ApLM@ITE missed and attendance will be marked accordingly for such cases.

• Any runs cancelled by the school would be immediately made available for other schools to register.

• No further changes can be made once the cancellation is submitted.

The school ApLM coordinator has to submit documentations (with sensitive data e.g., NRIC masked) to explain participants’ absence to ITE through email within 7 days from end date of the run.

Participants’ attendance record can be verified within 7 to 14 days from the end date of the run by generating the Student Attendance and Grades report in the ApLM portal.

Schools will receive reporting instructions and course guidelines from ITE at least one month before course commencement. Accompanying teachers deployed could be briefed of these instructions and course guidelines. It is advisable to have accompanying teachers if the ApLM@ITE class is a partnered class with other school(s).

Schools may wish to deploy subject teachers as the accompanying teachers to better support students’ on-site learning. For example, a PE teacher could be accompanying students attending the ApLM@ITE “Fitness for Life” to provide better follow-up in school, upon completion of the module.

Schools are reminded that for any out-of-school activities, teachers are responsible for the learning outcomes as well as safety of the students. Schools are advised to refer to the guidelines on school safety at: http://intranet.moe.gov.sg/schoolsafety.

Students who attended at least 2 out of 3 days and passed the in-course assessment(s) will be awarded the following certification. The digital certificates will be issued through email within two months from the ApLM@ITE end date.

• Certificate of Completion (with commendation): Attained 80 marks and above for the in-course assessment(s)

• Certificate of Completion: Attained 50 - 79 marks for the in-course assessments(s)

No certificates will be issued to students who do not meet the above requirements.
