3 GCE 'O' Level Grades:

  • Grade 1-7 in English Language;

  • Grade 1-8 in Mathematics (Elementary/Additional) or Principles of Accounts;

  • Grade 1-7 in one other subject.
    Applicants must have sat for Mathematics (Elementary or Additional).

OR

  • Nitec in Services qualifications; or

  • Nitec qualifications (Business/Services Skills); or

  • Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing and Numeracy, and 1 year of relevant work experience; or

  • Completed four Foundation modules.

Applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements will need to complete Foundation modules before taking Core/Specialisation modules.

  • 2 GCE 'O' Level Grades (Grade 1-8) in any two subjects; or

  • 3 GCE 'N' Level Passes (Grade A-D or Grade 1-5) in English Language and two other subjects; or

  • Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking and Listening, and Level 4 in Reading, Writing and Numeracy.

Higher Nitec in Services

  • Event Management

3 GCE 'O' Level Grades:

  • Grade 1-7 in English Language;

  • Grade 1-8 in Mathematics (Elementary/Additional);

  • Grade 1-7 in one other subject.

OR

  • Nitec in Services qualifications (Business/Services Skills); or

  • Nitec qualifications (Business/Services Skills); or

  • Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing and Numeracy, and 1 year of relevant work experience; or

  • Completed four Foundation modules.

Higher Nitec in Technology

  • Security System Integration(1)(2)

3 GCE 'O' Level Grades:

  • Grade 1-8 in English Language;

  • Grade 1-7 in Mathematics (Elementary/Additional);

  • Grade 1-8 in one of the approved subjects.

OR

  • Nitec in Technology qualifications; or

  • Nitec qualifications (Technical Skills); or

  • Completed GCE 'O' Level; or

  • Completed GCE 'N' Level; or

  • Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking and Listening, and Level 4 in Reading and Numeracy.

(1) Applicants for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency.

Note:

Nitec/NTC-2 graduates with at least a grade ‘B’ can apply for exemption of modules or transfer of credits for the relevant Higher Nitec course. You may apply for module exemption/credit transfer by submitting a request in STEP. To do so,

  • Login to the STEP Portal.

  • Under Raise Request, select Institute of Technical Education.

  • Under Course/Module requests, select Module exemption/credit transfer.

  • Select the module which you are applying for exemption and provide details of your Nitec or NTC-2 certificate and final transcript.
