  • Electrical Wiring(1)

  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding

  • Residential Air-Conditioning(1)

  • Residential Plumbing

  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding

  • Completed primary education; or

  • Passed BEST Module 4 in English or Mathematics; or

  • Have minimum 1 year of relevant working experience; or

  • Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4 in Reading and Listening; or

  • Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 4 in Numeracy.

(1) Applicant applying for this course must be free from colour appreciation deficiency. A score of 100% from the Colour Blindness Test is mandatory for course admission.

You may apply for module exemption/credit transfer for Nitec module(s) by submitting a request in STEP. To do so,

  • Login to the STEP Portal.

  • Under Raise Request, select Institute of Technical Education.

  • Under Course/Module requests, select Module exemption/credit transfer.

  • Select the module which you are applying for exemption and provide details of relevant certificate (eg. Nitec or NTC-2) and final transcript.
