Designed for those exploring ballet as a new skill or fitness activity, the course covers posture, turnout, and basic positions of the feet and arms. Participants will progress from simple barre and center exercises to coordinated movements like port de bras, strengthening drills, and spatial awareness techniques.
Course duration: 9 hours
What you'll learn
Foundations
Ballet basics, posture, turnout, and fundamental positions of feet/arms.
Technique
Simple barre and center movements, introductory combinations, and arm coordination (port de bras).
Strength & Coordination
Drills to build stability and weight-transfer exercises.
Spatial Awareness
Body facings and directional movements in the center.
Artistry
Musicality, performance quality, and longer step combinations with increasing complexity.
Note:
Course fees exclude the provision of ballet shoes. Participants have the flexibility to join the class barefoot, in grip socks, or in ballet shoes.
