In this SkillsFuture Certificate of Competency (CoC) course, as enrolled nurses, you will be equipped with the required knowledge and skills to administer intramuscular injections.
Course duration: 7 hours
What you'll learn
Review layers of the skin.
Describe the purpose of IM injections.
List the common sites for IM injection.
Explain the Five rights of medication administration.
Explain the complications IM injection.
Perform IM injection.
Report and record.
Conduct a basic health education.
Entry requirements
Participants must:
be an Enrolled Nurse with a valid practising certificate with the Singapore Nursing Board.
