This course will equip and certify lift personnel to work independently to maintain and service lifts with higher competencies, which are pegged at the Senior Specialist level.

Course duration: 30 hours

What you'll learn

  • Observe safety tasks in lift maintenance

  • Interpret lift drawings

  • Conduct checks on lift electrical power supply systems

  • Inspect lifts' electronics components and controls

  • Perform lift testing and make adjustments for a smooth lift operation

Entry requirements

Participants are required to have the following entry requirements:

  • Completed Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC) or Work-At-Height (WAH); and

  • At least 3 years work experience in related field (Performed lift maintenance at a technician, senior technician or supervisory level); and

Possess any one of the follow qualifications:

  • Nitec in Built Environment (Vertical Transportation)

  • Nitec in Facility Technology (Vertical Transportation)

  • Nitec in Technology - Facility Technology (Vertical Transportation)

  • Work-Study Diploma in Vertical Transportation

  • CoC in Lift Maintenance for Lift Specialist

  • Three CoCs in Lift Installer, Lift Testing & Commissioning, and Lift Power & Control

Participants are to submit proof of entry requirement at the point of registration.

Fees for this course can be paid using SkillsFuture Credits.
