In this SkillsFuture Certificate of Competency (CoC) course, you will gain the knowledge and skills in basic maintenance of building fire protection system.
Course duration: 12 hours
What you'll learn
Perform inspection of hose reel system, dry and wet riser systems in accordance with SS 575:2012 Code of Practice.
Perform verification of the hydrostatic, pressure, flow and air release valve test of the dry and wet riser system.
Demonstrate the visual inspections of the sprinkler system to be carried out in accordance with relevant Code of Practice CP52.
Test sprinkler pumps for correct operation and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
Perform inspection of the fire extinguishers for compliance with operational specifications and installations are in accordance to SS 578:2012 Code of Practice
Entry requirements
This is a basic course. Participants need to be fluent in written and spoken English.
