Join the exciting world of landscape management! Discover the fascinating fields of Horticulture, Arboriculture, Landscape Implementation and Maintenance, Landscape Management using Technology, and Sustainable Landscape Design at our state-of-the-art facilities.
Our close collaboration with the National Parks Board (NParks) and the Landscape Industry Association Singapore (LIAS) offers valuable learning opportunities beyond the classroom. As part of the Student-Run Parks initiative with NParks, you'll redesign a park and explore how technology can enhance productivity in park maintenance. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to be selected for Overseas Industry Attachment Programmes in countries such as Australia, gaining international experience and insights.
This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively organize, coordinate, and manage various aspects of landscape implementation and maintenance. You will receive comprehensive training in areas such as plant nurseries, parks and conservation areas, arboriculture, landscape construction and maintenance, and common turf areas, all aligned with industry best practices and statutory requirements.
What you'll learn
Supervise propagation of plants, undertake nursery operations, and maintain nursery plants and facilities
Supervise installation and maintenance of skyrise greenery and other forms of green infrastructure
Assist in supervising arboriculture operations and maintain tree health and safety
Perform scheduling and implement maintenance plans for turf park areas
Organise, coordinate and oversee the various aspects of general landscape implementation and maintenance works
Interpret, prepare and present landscape design drawings
Coordinate and supervise deployment of workforce
Oversee maintenance plan for equipment and machinery
Supervise undertaking of plant health care programs

Entry requirements
Admission to Year 1 of the 3-year curriculum structure:
Completed GCE 'N' or GCE 'O' Level
Note:
Students will be required to purchase a laptop for the course. This is in addition to the course fees. Financial assistance is available to eligible students under ITE Opportunity Fund subject to terms and conditions. Career opportunities
Higher Nitec in Landscape Management & Design graduates can be employed as Assistant Landscape Supervisors or Landscape Specialists in the landscape industry. Graduates can also work as Assistant Designers or Project Coordinators in the related landscaping sectors. They will also be competent to oversee the implementation and maintenance of skyrise greenery, plant nurseries and urban farms.
