This course equips parents with the knowledge and practical strategies needed to better support their child’s development as a young footballer.
Through a blend of theory, hands-on practice and discussion, participants will gain insights into the psychological, social and physical factors that shape a child’s sporting experience. Parents will also learn when to guide, when to step back, and how to work effectively with coaches to create a positive and empowering environment for their child’s football journey.

Understanding the Importance of Your Role as a Football Parent
Gain clarity on your influence and responsibilities in shaping your child’s sporting experience.
Being the Coach’s Assistant
Practical strategies and simple drills to support your child’s development and sustain their interest in football.
Mental Well-being
Understanding how much involvement is helpful, when interference becomes counterproductive, and when to step back and allow your child to grow independently.
Social Engagement
Strategies for strengthening your bond with your child through football.
Goal Setting and Action Planning
Setting specific, SMART goals to support your child’s development.
Target Audience
Parents or guardians of children who are actively involved in, or beginning their journey in, youth football. These parents are seeking guidance on how to support their child’s development in a healthy, balanced and constructive manner.
