Course duration: 8 hours
This course is suitable for adults who are non-swimmers and new to swimming or are afraid of water. You will learn to overcome your fear of water, build your confidence in water, and develop your swimming capabilities. The focus will be on Pool Orientation & Water Familiarisation, Floatation and Recovery Skills, Basic Aquatic Movements Skills, and to develop these skills through enjoyment, fun, and self-discovery to enable you to enjoy swimming.
Target audience
Adults who are non-swimmers and new to swimming or are afraid of water.
What you'll learn
Water confidence, rhythmic breathing pattern, and blowing of bubbles underwater
Front floatation, back floatation and recovery skills
Basic aquatic movements skills like sculling and directional propulsion
