Want to equip yourself with advanced cooking techniques and lead a kitchen crew?

You will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to create a variety of food catered to consumers’ palate and preferences, as well as to apply cost control measures to manage the budget for kitchen operations and food catering for events and functions.

This course also includes a six-month enhanced internship at one of the renowned Restaurants or Hotel F&B outlets that ITE partners with.

Entry Requirements

Nitec GPA:
Nitec in Asian Culinary Arts, Nitec in Western Culinary Arts or Nitec in Culinary Skills (Western) with minimum GPA of 2.8 (including CCA bonus points)

Note: Shortlisted applicants will have to attend an interview, and may have to pass a pre-admission medical examination as advised by ITE College West. For more information, please contact ITE College West.

Higher Nitec in Culinary Arts graduates may apply for progression to the following Work-Study Diploma courses at ITE:


Higher Nitec in Culinary Arts graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to a Technical Diploma course at ITE. For more details on progression, please click here.

Career Opportunities

Higher Nitec in Culinary Arts graduates are employed as Demi Chefs in hotels and restaurants. Demi Chefs with work experience and good performance may be promoted to supervisory positions, such as Chef de Partie.
