This Work-Study Diploma course aims to equip trainees with the skills, knowledge and professional attributes to configure, administer, maintain and automate cloud operations / solutions to ensure smooth running of cloud operations and continuous improvement of cloud solutions.

Prerequisite:

  • Work well with others in a team environment
  • Able to articulate and discuss ideas, thoughts and information effectively to achieve common outcomes
  • Able to understand and co-relate information from multiple disciplines to synthesise knowledge and insights, as well as  guide decisions

 

Job Role:

An Infrastructure Support Engineer configure, administer, maintain and automate cloud operations / solutions to ensure smooth running of cloud operations and continuous improvement of cloud solutions. The work he/she performs includes the following:

  • Configure & Administer IT system infrastructure
  • Maintain cloud operations / solutions
  • Automate cloud operations / solutions

 

Work-Study Training Pattern:

Hybrid Release - Alternating between blocks of daily classroom lessons and one to two days of weekly lessons at ITE, with the remaining work-week spent at the workplace for On-the-Job Training.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  1. ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;

    Nitec with GPA ≥ 2:

    • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

    Higher Nitec:

    • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

    OR

  2. In-service employees+ with:
    • Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above
    • Relevant work experience
    • Strong employer endorsement

+In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview

Work-Study Diploma in Cloud Management & Operations (Cloud Operationst) graduates are employed by companies and organisations in the ICT sector.

Some job titles held are Associate Infrastructure Support Engineer and Associate DevOps Engineer, Associate SysOps Engineer
