SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP)

The SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) supports mid-career individuals in acquiring industry-relevant skills to enhance their employability and enabling them to pivot to new sectors or job roles.

The SCTP is designed for:

  • Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents aged 21 years old and above

  • Employed individuals seeking to transition into a new career field or job role

  • Unemployed individuals looking to return to the workforce

  • Individuals ready to embrace and fulfil all training requirements, including maintaining minimum attendance and passing of assessments.

Full-time and eligible for Training Allowance*

  1. SCTP in Digital Media Marketing

  2. SCTP in Human Capital Management

  3. SCTP in Microelectronics

  4. SCTP in Passenger Services

  5. SCTP in Security Technology

These courses are eligible for SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) of $4,000.

  • Singapore Citizens / Singapore PRs are eligible for up to 70% subsidy of the course fee

  • Singapore Citizens aged 40 years old and above are eligible for up to 90% subsidy of the course fee

  • Up to 95% of course fee subsidy for Singapore Citizens who meet one of following eligibility criteria:

    • Long-term unemployed individuals (unemployed for six months or more); or

    • Individuals in need of financial assistance – ComCare, Short-to-Medium Term Assistance (SMTA) recipients or Workfare Income Supplement (WIS) recipients; or

    • Persons with Disabilities

* Singapore Citizens aged 40 years and above are eligible for monthly training allowances (TA) during the SCTP course. The TA is calculated based on 50% of learners' average monthly income in the past 12 months, subject to a cap of $3,000 per month.
