This course will equip and certify lift personnel to work independently to maintain and service lifts with higher competencies, which are pegged at the Senior Specialist level.
What you'll learn
- Observe safety tasks in lift maintenance
- Interpret lift drawings
- Conduct checks on lift electrical power supply systems
- Inspect lifts' electronics components and controls
- Perform lift testing and make adjustments for a smooth lift operation
Entry Requirements
Participants are required to have the following entry requirements:
- Completed Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC) or Work-At-Height (WAH); and
- At least 3 years work experience in related field (Performed lift maintenance at a technician, senior technician or supervisory level); and
Possess any one of the follow qualifications:
- Nitec in Built Environment (Vertical Transportation)
- Nitec in Facility Technology (Vertical Transportation)
- Nitec in Technology - Facility Technology (Vertical Transportation)
- Work-Study Diploma in Vertical Transportation
- CoC in Lift Maintenance for Lift Specialist
- Three CoCs in Lift Installer, Lift Testing & Commissioning, and Lift Power & Control
Participants are to submit proof of entry requirement at the point of registration.
