To cater to industry demand, the curriculum structure encompasses the specialised skills sets built upon broad-based foundation skills sets for the Infocomm Technology (ICT) sector. If you are keen to be part of this exciting AI-enabled future, this is the course for you.

We work closely with leading AI technology companies, and our AI Labs are equipped with the latest industry AI technologies. You will have a chance to be skilled with AI-enabled drones, service robots, and even scaled-down self-driving cars. There will be opportunities to do joint AI projects with South Korea, India, China, and United States.

Entry Requirements

Admission to Year 1 of the 3-year curriculum structure:

GCE ‘O’ level grades in any 2 subjects:

  • Grade 1-8

or

GCE ‘N’ level passes in Mathematics or Science* and 2 other subjects:

  • Grade A-D or Grade 1-5

* Mobile Robotics, Smart Electrical Technology, Mechanical Design & Automation, IoT Applications, and Mobile Web Applications subjects can be used in lieu of Science for admission to this Higher Nitec course.


Students will be required to purchase a Laptop for the course. This is in addition to the course fees. Financial assistance is available to eligible students under ITE Opportunity Fund subject to terms and conditions. For more details on the minimum laptop specifications, please click here.

Progression Opportunities

Higher Nitec in AI Applications graduates may apply for progression to the following Work-Study Diploma courses at ITE:


Higher Nitec in AI Applications graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics.
