In this course, you will gain the knowledge, skills, and techniques needed to become a successful hairdresser. You will cover a variety of topics, including haircutting, styling, colouring, and hair and scalp care. You will also learn about salon management, take product and model pictures and market them on social media.

To make you a well-rounded professional, you will explore basic make-up and have opportunities to hone your skills and showcase your work at hair shows and events.  A 6-month internship will help you step into a rewarding career as a professional hairstylist.

Entry Requirements

GCE 'O' level grades in English Language and 2 other subjects:

  • Grade 1-7 in English Language
  • Grade 1-7 in two other subjects
    To be eligible for selection, you must have sat for Mathematics (Elementary/Additional)

Higher Nitec in Hairdressing & Salon Management graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to a Technical Diploma course at ITE. For more details on progression, please click here.
