Do you enjoy working with young children?
In this course, you will understand the key theories of child development and apply them in the early childhood industry. You will also learn how to manage young children’s basic health
and their nutritional and safety needs. In your quest to become an early childhood practitioner, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to plan and implement activities in kindergartens and childcare centres, and assist young children in their daily routines too!

This course is conducted by the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) in collaboration with Institute of Technical Education (ITE) at the NIEC(ITE) campus. It is a professional qualification recognised by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) for practice as a preschool teacher in Singapore.

Entry Requirements
GCE 'O' level grades in English Language and 2 other subjects:
- Grade 1-6 in English Language
- Grade 1-7 in two other subjects
To be eligible for selection, you must have sat for Mathematics (Elementary/Additional)
or
Nitec GPA:
