What is ITE EAE

The ITE Early Admissions Exercise (ITE EAE) is an aptitude-based admissions exercise. If you have strong aptitude and passion in a field related to a Nitec course, the ITE EAE is for you. We will also consider your relevant work experience and your achievements in sports, arts, leadership, entrepreneurship and community service.

If you are a student from a Specialised School for Normal Technical (SSNT), you will have an added advantage if you apply to a Nitec course that is related to your ITE Skills Certificate (ISC).

The application process involves an interview for each of your course choices (if shortlisted).

If your application is successful, you will receive a conditional offer in August 2020 for admission to one of your course choices under the Jan 2021 intake.

Your place in the course will be confirmed if you accept the conditional offer and your GCE N/O-Level examination results meet the Minimum Entry Requirements of the course.

Who Can Apply

  • Singapore Citizens (SC) and Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) who have registered to sit for the GCE N-Level or O-Level examinations in the year of the ITE EAE application;
  • International Students (IS) enrolled in Government, Government-aided and Independent Schools during the year of the ITE EAE application, and who have registered to sit for the GCE N-Level or O-Level examinations in the year of the ITE EAE application;

  • SC and SPR working adults with at least 2 years of relevant work experience may also apply.

Application Process

1. Application (Closed)

Wed 27 May – Wed 3 Jun 2020 (revised)

You can apply for up to 3 course choices. Courses with the same title at different ITE Colleges are counted as separate choices. You are not allowed to change your course choices after the close of application.

In your application, tell us why you should be shortlisted for an interview through a write-up (of not more than 100 words) for each course choice. List down your talents, aptitude, achievements, passion and interests relevant to the course, including:

  • Portfolio of related works / projects
  • Participation in MOE Elective Modules and/or Applied Subjects
  • Participation in work attachments, community/volunteer work, school/personal activities/projects, CCAs and competitions
  • Relevant work experience

Tips

  • Prepare your write-up in advance using this template
  • You can upload supporting documents with your application. For larger files (e.g. video clips and artwork), upload them to a cloud storage service and provide their hyperlinks in your write-up.
  • Save/print your write-up to help you recall the details when preparing for your interview
  • Retain your login ID and password provided in the verification slip after submitting your application. You will need them later when checking your application result and accepting your offer.

2. Interview

Tue 23 Jun – Fri 24 Jul 2020 (revised)

Interviews will be conducted online (for most courses), or on-campus. If you are shortlisted, the respective ITE College will notify you of the interview details via email, phone call or SMS.

Bring along to the interview your portfolio of relevant works/projects and supporting documents, such as certificates, awards and testimonials, for us to assess your aptitude and interest for the course. You may also have to take an aptitude test when attending the interview, depending on the course.

You will be notified to attend up to one interview for your choices with the same course title at two or more ITE Colleges.
