This course is designed for those who are planning to apply to NEA for the Vector Control Worker license. You will be trained to be Pest Control workers who inspect and locate pests or vectors, their breeding and harbourage sites at premises or outside areas.
What you'll learn
- Practise work safety and good housekeeping
- Learn about pests and vectors
- Understand the morphology, medical importance, biology, surveillance and control of mosquitoes, flies, rodents, cockroaches, fleas and other pests
- Identify important vectors
- Handle use of pesticides (insecticides and rodenticides)
- Operate and maintain Pest Control Equipment

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Singapore Citizens / Singapore Permanent Residents or Foreigners with a valid and relevant work permit issued by Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to work in Singapore; AND
- Have Provisional Vector Control Worker (VCW) licence; OR
- Completed Primary School Education; OR
- Attained Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3 in Reading, Listening and Numeracy

After 1 year of working as a certified Full Vector Control Worker, you can upgrade by signing up for Joint ITE-NEA Certificate in Pest Management Course.
