Job Role:
As a trainee in the Work-Study Diploma in Fitness Management, you will begin your journey in the Operations Track, taking on roles such as:
- Associate Fitness Instructor
- Fitness Instructor
- Associate Group Exercise Instructor
- Group Exercise Instructor
In these roles, you will:
- Conduct client fitness appraisals to assess health and fitness levels.
- Design and lead individual and group fitness programmes, including strength and conditioning and active ageing fitness programmes.
- Monitor and manage client fitness performance outcomes, ensuring continuous progress and goal achievement.
- Deliver safe, effective, and engaging workouts tailored to diverse client needs.
- Support the management of gym fitness programmes and contribute to daily fitness operations.
- Facilitate clear and professional communication with clients and stakeholders to enhance service quality and satisfaction.
With experience and further development, you can progress into the Leadership Track, taking on supervisory and managerial responsibilities such as:
- Assistant Manager / Supervisor (Fitness & Group Exercise)
- Manager / Senior Manager (Fitness & Group Exercise)
In these advanced roles, you will:
- Oversee and optimize fitness operations across various programmes and facilities.
- Lead and mentor teams of instructors, ensuring high standards in service delivery.
- Strategically manage and evaluate client fitness and group exercise programmes, including those for active ageing and strength and conditioning.
Develop and implement client engagement strategies and maintain strong stakeholder communication.
Drive innovation and growth in fitness services through effective programme management and performance tracking.
Work-Study Training Pattern:
Hybrid Release - Alternating between blocks of daily classroom lessons and one to two days of weekly lessons at ITE, with the remaining work-week spent at the workplace for On-the-Job Training.
