One of the largest digital youth events in Singapore returns with a bang this year! Campus
Game Fest 2019 (CGF 2019) will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 3 and 4 August 2019, and
will offer a suite of exhilarating activities to engage, educate and entertain visitors. Officiating the
launch of CGF 2019 on 3 August will be Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth.
Organised by the Singapore Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) and Institute
of Technical Education (ITE), co-organised by the CyberAthlete Professional League (CPL), and
supported by People's Association Community Sports Clubs (CSCs), CGF 2019 is a part of the National
Youth Council's YouthX
Festival, and it aims to empower Singapore's youths by fostering community
bonding and leadership through participation in various fun Game, Arts, Media, and Edutainment
programmes.
Not only is CGF 2019 a platform for various communities to come together to celebrate their
shared passion for gaming, it also provides opportunities for youths passionate about gaming to gain
valuable work experience and to positively impact the lives of their fellow youths and citizens. The
CGF 2019 organisers are ably supported by youth volunteers from ITE, SCOGA and the CSCs.
Key Highlights for CGF 2019
Singapore's Smart Seniors – Future-Ready Digital Citizens Youth Volunteer Program
(Key CSR initiative)
In partnership with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), CGF 2019 will prepare and equip
our seniors with technological knowhow in order to be future ready digital citizens in line with
Singapore's Smart Nation initiative. IMDA Lab on Wheels buses will be available on 3 and 4 August.
Over the two days, seniors will be introduced to cool emerging tech including Artificial Intelligence
(AI), Virtual Reality, Internet-of-Things and be educated on Cyber Security. A group of elderly from
three senior community centres in Cheng San (Community Network @Cheng San Senior Activity
Centre, Cornerstone Community Centre and TOUCH Community Services) will be attending this event
on 3 August with the support by ITE Event Management student volunteers. ITE students will be
facilitating this programme, providing guidance and coaching to these elderly on Cyber Security
education and how AI can notably impact the way seniors learn, live, and play.
Esports Tournaments
Showcasing Singapore's diverse and exciting esports talent, CGF 2019 will be staging some of the most
exhilarating esports tournaments throughout the weekend. Watch as the best student-athletes
compete for school esports glory in Campus Legends, and aspiring teams battle it out for various
opportunities to represent Singapore at the GIRLGAMER Seoul Festival and Predator League Grand
Finals 2020 in the Philippines!
Community Tournaments
Nothing brings gamers together more than CGF's popular community tournaments. CGF 2019 brings
together a wide selection of the most popular games played in Singapore today, featuring community
tournaments including Pokemon, Magic the Gathering Arena, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends, Dota
Underlords, Hearthstone, Super Smash Brothers, Clash Royale and FIFA 19. Be a part of these evergrowing gaming communities by pitting your skills against the best, or simply witness the action and
hype moments of these community tournaments!
IMDA Lab on Wheels
The IMDA Lab on Wheels aims to familiarise and introduce new and emerging tech to prepare citizens
to be future ready digital citizens. This is done through bringing new technology interactive showcases,
workshops, experiences to students and the community – to enable them to imagine the possibilities
that future technology applications could bring about to better everyday lives and spark their interest
in tech.

Imagine the possibilities that Artificial Intelligence (AI) could bring to better our everyday lives. Learn
more about AI concepts by solving a series of challenges on Singapore's first AI themed 'Escape bus'.
About The Cyber Security Bus
Be aware of cyber threats and how we can play our part to defend ourselves and our society against
digital threats in the cyber world. Join us in the Cybersecurity (CS) - themed bus to experience a
series of challenge-based activities that will highlight the importance of enhancing personal digital
defenses.
WELP Tonight
WELP (Welcome Everybody, Let's Play) Tonight is a prime-time talk show with a twist, where cocreators and hosts Singapore Idol Sezairi and his wife Syaza Qistina Tan are joined by popular
celebrities and interesting personalities who are united by a shared passion for gaming. This
programme aims to celebrate gaming as an essential and positive part of our social lives, as well as to
provide an inclusive platform for authentic conversations and stories within the global online
community. In its first season alone, WELP Tonight has already featured famous Singaporean
celebrities including Nathan Hartono, Fakkah Fuzz and Narelle Kheng, and has reached over 750,000
viewers from Singapore and beyond.
CGF 2019 will feature a special live finale of WELP Tonight Season 1. WELP Wknd will feature returning
and brand new guests once again joining Sezairi and Syaza for fun games and great conversation
throughout both days of CGF 2019, with a special Best-of-three DOTA 2 showdown between Team Sez
and Team Sya taking place on the 4th of August. WELP Wknd will provide audience members the
chance to see their favourite celebrities up close and personal, as well as many opportunities to play
games and interact with the hosts and guests throughout the CGF 2019 weekend.
The Singaporean Dream by SGAG: The Tournament
The Singaporean Dream is launching its first ever Tournament leading up to the National Day, in
conjunction with CGF 2019. A strong crowd of 400 participants is expected to participate in this
inaugural event, to "sabotage" each other and slug it out to win the top prize of a pair of AirAsia
tickets!
Showcasing Game Design and Development Talents
With gamification in education gaining traction, CGF 2019 will also showcase the game design and
development works of ITE students. Presented by ITE College Central School of Electronics and InfoComm Technology (SEIT) Games Programming & Development department, this is a showcase on the
design and development of online games, which were built on Unity, Maya, Blender and Photoshop.
ITE students will demonstrate the games they created and invite players from CGF 2019 to test-play
and review their games. Four games will be on display:
- Hellcatraz - Set in Alcatraz Prison, Hellcatraz is a 3D isometric survival shooter where the
player is faced with undead zombies. They must fight their way out and survive the
onslaught or the player will be next to be feast on.
- The Veteran - A third person 3D adventure that traverse the levels, the player will need to
find and collect all the keys in order to progress. Stay alive and don't die-kind of simple.
- The Red Plague - The Red Plague is a 3D survival horror game in which the player controls a
doctor of a dystopian future that was sent back in time to the source of the plague and find
a cure for an infectious disease that caused to the destruction of his home. Armed with the
MS-06 Type 2 power armour and the type 1 proto-rifle, the future of humanity hangs
precariously in the balance of a young and naïve doctor who himself is unknowingly
fighting a new strain of the plague hidden within his body.
- Enter The Dungeon - Enter The Dungeon is third person top down shooting game. Players
whose roles are robots need to find the secret treasure in the dungeon within limited time.
Prepare yourself to fight against the evils that guarding this dungeon!

About Singapore Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA)
SCOGA was founded in 2008 by a group of enthusiastic gamers and leaders who wanted to make a
difference for esports in Singapore. SCOGA aims to elevate esports by educating young people,
nurturing online communities and creating job opportunities.
One of SCOGA's key initiatives is its Esports Academy, created in line with SCOGA's vision of a centre
of excellence developed around esports and youth leadership. Supported by the National Youth
Council, the Esports Academy aims to equip youths with skills such as leadership, teamwork and
communication to strive towards their aspirations and grow in their careers, through a learn-byplaying approach where competitive video games are used to create an engaging learning
environment. The Esports Academy also uses peer learning methods of training, by creating
opportunities for esports celebrities to interact with youth trainees, allowing them to cross share
experiences and tell stories. SCOGA also promotes youth volunteerism by creating opportunities for
academy alumnus to give back to their communities and the community at large.
In 2018, more than 100,000 participants from 13 countries have turned up for SCOGA events live in
person with more than 6.5 million unique online viewers in the past year alone. These events included
Asian Games Esports Singapore Qualifiers, Campus Game Fest, Asian Football Gaming Championship
Grand Finals, Garena AOV Cup, and the Singapore Qualifiers for Alisports' World Electronic Sports
Games. Over the past 10 years, more than a million have participated in SCOGA's events live in person
and more than a thousand have now gone through the doors of the Esports Academy in both part
time and full-time programmes.
