SkillsFuture Certificate of Competency (CoC)
The objective of this course is to equip learners with the essential skills to confidently and effectively apply generative AI tools in their daily work.
Through a practical, hands-on approach, learners will gain a strong foundation in how AI works and develops the ability to design and refine effective prompts using a structured 5-step framework.
Participants will learn to apply prompting techniques to automate routine tasks, enhance data analysis, generate high-quality content, and improve decision-making. They will explore advanced features such as multimodal prompts (text, image, audio), prompt chaining, and building simple AI assistants tailored to workplace needs. The course also places emphasis on responsible and ethical AI use.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to create a personal AI toolkit and reusable prompt library that can be applied across roles such as marketing, HR, administration, operations, and customer service. These capabilities will empower them to boost productivity, work more efficiently, and make better-informed decisions—ultimately helping their organisations drive innovation and digital transformation.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive industry-recognised certifications from both ITE and Google, namely Google Career Certificates in AI Essentials and Google Career Certificates in Prompting Essentials, validating their competencies in generative AI for the workplace.
