Visual Merchandising is the art of displaying merchandise that is appealing to the eyes of the consumer. Take up the Higher Nitec in Visual Merchandising course and learn how to use different forms of media to conceptualise and create a wonderful display window, and in-store’s display’s experience to capture consumers’ imagination.

Entry Requirements

3 GCE 'O' Level Grades:

Grade 1 - 7 in English Language

Higher Nitec in Services - Visual Merchandising graduates are employed by the retail or service establishments, such as department stores, shopping malls, and specialty stores.  They perform a crucial role in ensuring that the window and in-store displays are designed and implemented according to market and fashion trends.  Some of the job titles held by graduates include Visual Merchandiser, Display Artist, Retail Stylist and Visual Exhibition Designer.

There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.
