Within the global retail industry, supermarkets have emerged from the pandemic as top retailers. Many supermarkets have since pivoted to an omnichannel business model; which means a continuous need to hire and groom more retail and e-commerce professionals.

This diploma aims to equip trainees with the necessary knowledge and skills; to perform and build their retail career with a deep understanding of e-commerce and supermarket management - enabled by retail technology applications. 

Prerequisite:

Outgoing and pro-active individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skill. Willing to work on a flexible work-week including weekends, evenings and public holidays. Possess excellent problem solving and multitasking skills in effectively handling multiple and concurrent tasks.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  1. ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;
    • Nitec with GPA ≥ 2
      • All Courses from School of Business & Services
      • Hospitality Operations
    • Higher Nitec:
      • All Courses from School of Business & Services
      • Hospitality Operations
      • Visual Merchandising

    OR

  2. In-service employees+ with:
    • Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above
    • Relevant work experience
    • Strong employer endorsement

+In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview
