The Work-Study Diploma in Chemical Process Technology adopts a work-study approach to prepare you for a professional career in the Energy & Chemicals sector. Through this diploma, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to manage and maintain
the manufacturing or process operations in the chemical, oil and gas industry.
Prerequisite:
Trainees are expected to work on a rotating shift, in a team and perform duty in work environment related to the oil and gas industry. Free from colour appreciation deficiency.
Job Role:
A Process Technician executes and maintains safe and reliable plant operation by performing routine process unit and utility works at the plant site, as well as basic frontline maintenance, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs). He/she also monitors process parameters, performs in-process sampling and basic testing to customer requirements.
The work he/she performs may include the following:
- Maintain health, safety, security and environmental standards
- Manage emergency response and crisis
- Perform process unit and utility works
- Perform basic equipment maintenance
- Maintain plant operation
