Job role

As a Security Systems Engineer or Security Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in keeping people and their information safe. You will design and implement advanced security systems that protect homes, businesses, and valuable data. This exciting career allows you to use your skills to make a real difference in the world.

Your mission:

Work-study training pattern

Block Release - Alternating between blocks of daily classroom lessons at ITE and periods of On-the-Job Training at the workplace.

What you'll learn

• Design security systems which include video analytics, facial and biometrics identification and intruder detection.

Entry requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

1. ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;

   • Nitec with GPA ≥ 2:

     • All courses from School of Engineering

     • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

   • Higher Nitec:

     • All courses from School of Engineering

     • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

OR

2. In-service employees⁺ with:

   • Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above

   • Relevant work experience

   • Strong employer endorsement

⁺In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview

Note:

• Applicants applying for this course must be free from colour appreciation deficiency.  A score of 100% from the Colour Blindness Test taken here is mandatory for course admission.
