Note:

Nitec/NTC-2 graduates with at least a grade ‘B’ can apply for exemption of modules or transfer of credits for the relevant Higher Nitec course. You may apply for module exemption/credit transfer by submitting a request in STEP. To do so,

  • Login to the STEP Student Portal.
  • Under Raise Request, select Institute of Technical Education.
  • Under Course/Module requests, select Module exemption/credit transfer.
  • Select the module which you are applying for exemption and provide details of your Nitec or NTC-2 certificate and final transcript.


(1) Applicant applying for this course must be free from colour appreciation deficiency.  A score of 100% from the Colour Blindness Test taken here is mandatory for course admission.

  • Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing and Numeracy, and 1 year of relevant work experience; or
  • Completed four Foundation modules.
