Are you game enough to be a cyber-defender in securing our network servers and end-user devices against online threats?

To cater to industry demand, the new 3-year curriculum structure comprises the specialised and deepened skills sets built upon broad-based foundation skills sets for the infocomm technology (ICT) sector.

Join this course and be a champion for security. You will learn to support cyber security operations in end-user devices, network and server in an enterprise IT / cloud environment for cyber security services so as to enhance cybersecurity defence against cyber-attacks for business. You will also learn to assist with the analysis of security-related information and events, escalation of incidents for validation and remediation.

Entry Requirements

Admission to Year 1 of the 3-year structure:

GCE ‘O’ level grades in any 2 subjects:

  • Grade 1-8

or

GCE ‘N’ level passes in Mathematics or Science* and 2 other subjects:

  • Grade A-D or Grade 1-5

* Mobile Robotics and Smart Electrical Technology subjects can be used in lieu of Science for admission to this Higher Nitec course.

Progression Opportunities

Higher Nitec in Cyber & Network Security graduates may apply for progression to the following Work-Study Diploma courses at ITE:


Higher Nitec in Cyber & Network Security with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. For more details on diploma courses for progression, please refer to the Joint Polytechnic Admissions website.

Higher Nitec in Cyber & Network Security graduates are employed in public and private sector organisations to provide technical support for networks, systems and storage with an emphasis on IT security for business continuity in an enterprise IT cloud environment.
