Do you aspire to bloom and boom in business operations and infocomm technology?

To cater to industry demand, the new 3-year curriculum structure comprises the specialised and deepened skills sets built upon broad-based foundation skills sets for the Infocomm Technology (ICT) sector. You will have the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds and excel at them. You will learn the IT skillsets and competencies to support business information systems in end-user computing devices, network, server and application in a hybrid infrastructure environment. You also learn to assist in the support of database management system and enterprise solution to ensure smooth operations of all Infocomm hardware and software in the organisation.

Entry Requirements

Admission to Year 1 of the 3-year curriculum structure:

GCE ‘O’ level grades in any 2 subjects:

  • Grade 1-8

or

GCE ‘N’ level passes in Mathematics or Science* and 2 other subjects:

  • Grade A-D or Grade 1-5

* Mobile Robotics, Smart Electrical Technology, Mechanical Design & Automation, IoT Applications, and Mobile Web Applications subjects can be used in lieu of Science for admission to this Higher Nitec course.

Progression Opportunities

Higher Nitec in Business Information Systems graduates may apply for progression to the following Work-Study Diploma courses at ITE:


Higher Nitec in Business Information Systems graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. Higher Nitec in Business Information Systems graduates may be employed by government departments, private sector companies and independent software vendors. Some of the job titles held by graduates include Business Information Systems Specialist, IT Technical Support Specialist, Web Developer, Associate System Administrator, Desktop Support Engineer and ERP Support Engineer.
