Modern passenger and commercial vehicles are equipped with a series of on-board computers which enables them to operate more efficiently. Skilled specialists are needed to maintain and repair these vehicles.

In this course, students will acquire the skills and knowledge to perform a range of tasks involving the servicing, inspection, repair and diagnosis of systems for petrol and diesel vehicles. The work includes inspection and servicing to mechanical and electrical systems analysis using diagnostic equipment.

Entry Requirements

Completed GCE 'N' or GCE 'O' Level

Note: Applicants for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency.

Progression Opportunities

Nitec in Automotive Technology graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. For more details on diploma courses for progression, please refer to the Joint Polytechnic Admissions website.
