Safety Awareness and Maintenance for Motorised 2-Wheelers

Motorised two-wheeled vehicles are used by many for everyday travel, but do you know the maintenance required for safe riding? This course exposes students to the different parts and functions of a motorised 2-wheeler such as motorcycle, as well as performing safety check, carry out simple repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of their vehicles. Hands on activities will help enhance their DIY abilities and inculcate a sense of responsibility to ensure that their vehicle is safe for use and safe to other road users.

At the end of the module, students will be able to:

 

  • Perform safety check on various mechanical components
  • Perform simple check on electrical system like lights, horn etc
  • Avoid hot area and components when working on vehicle
  • Check battery condition
  • Inspect tyre condition
  • Inspect braking system
