At the end of the module, students will be able to:

Apply basic concepts and principles of first aid.
Perform Heimlich Manoeuver during an emergency.

1	Concepts and Principles of First Aid Discuss and apply the principles and concepts of basic first aid care in an emergency.
2	Wounds and Bleeding and/or Shock Describe the types of wounds and first aid treatment of wounds and bleeding and/or shock.
3	Heat Stroke and Epistaxis Describe the principles and concepts related to heat stroke and epistaxis and render appropriate first aid to casualty.
4	Burns and Scalds Describe the various types of burns and scalds and render appropriate first aid to a casualty.
5	Sprains, Dislocations, Fractures and Bandaging Discuss the principles and concepts related to sprains, dislocations, fractures, along with the use of bandages, slings and splints to render appropriate first aid to casualty.
6	Handling Dismembered Body Parts Describe the safe practices and procedure for handling dismembered body parts.
7	Transportation of Casualty Describe the safe practices and procedure in the transportation of a casualty.
8	Foreign Bodies Describe the concepts and discomfort that foreign bodies cause and render appropriate first aid to a casualty.
9	Poisons Discuss the various types of poisons that can be ingested or inhaled and render appropriate first aid till help arrives.
10	Heimlich Manoeuvre In A Conscious Adult Identify a conscious casualty with foreign body airway obstruction and perform the Heimlich manoeuvre.
11	Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and Use of an Automated External Resuscitator Discuss the principles and concepts of emergency bystander resuscitation and perform CPR & AED technique till help arrives.
