Application Procedure


Under Singapore Green Plan 2030, our nation has a vision to achieve 100% cleaner energy vehicles (both commercial and passenger vehicle) by 2040.  LTA has a comprehensive roadmap for Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption and adaptation. One of the targeted sectors is the automotive industry to provide a pathway for vehicle technicians to acquire new skills in repair, maintenance of EVs and high voltage safety and maintenance.

This course is designed for vehicle and bus technicians, automotive technical specialists, bus technical specialists, customer service advisers, vehicle inspectors and personnel in automotive engineering.

Candidates who pass the assessment will receive the following certificates:

- WSQ Statements of Attainment (SOAs)

  • Workplace Safety and Health for Electrical Safety
  • Electric Vehicle and/or Hybrid Electric Vehicle Charging Management
  • Electric Vehicle and Hybrid Electric Vehicle Maintenance Management
  • Electric Vehicle and Hybrid Electric Vehicle Battery Management

- National Electric Vehicle (EV) Specialist Safety (NESS) Certificate

Course Information

Course participants are required to achieve 100% course attendance to be eligible to take the end of course assessment. 

Candidates who pass the assessment will receive the National Electric Vehicle (EV) Specialist Safety (NESS) Certificate and the following WSQ Statements of Attainment (SOAs):

  • Workplace Safety and Health for Electrical Safety
  • Electric Vehicle and/or Hybrid Electric Vehicle Charging Management
  • Electric Vehicle and Hybrid Electric Vehicle Maintenance Management
  • Electric Vehicle and Hybrid Electric Vehicle Battery Management

Important note: Only participants who have passed the Asynchronous E-Learning component will be allowed to attend the college training sessions.  Participants who failed the Asynchronous E-Learning component and any other assessments would be deemed to have failed the WSQ course.
